The Garden 04:51
Stagnant, I watched the colors fly from the pens of the greatest to ever exist: my friends Blinded, I turn as their children shine so bright proven opulent in every light Burning, I watch my flames burn up the grass chrysanthemums are blazing as they're turning black Blighted, I mourn as my garden bleeds maroon one day I'll get to sleep under the moon.

about

I burned it down, like I said I would.

The flames lick dangerously tall, roaring, loud, distorted. Horrible faces appear in each flicker, burning me from their looks alone. Surrounded. I drop the lighter, and start running. Galloping. The garden burns around me, horrific, twisted, each different type of flower distorting into a vacant, disgusting image of itself. In the flames, they grow so tall they can be seen for miles. I took this from you, you know. Everywhere I look, dark, brooding veins protrude hideously in my periphery, and I'm lost. They grow closer, boiling hot, thick, pumping, the thorns pricking me from all sides until I'm encased, surrounded, a puppet pinched with threads of beating thorns. Surrounded. Surrounded.

...

Ba-dump.

The Garden pumps. Each one can be heard from several fields away, the ground near it quaking from the sheer size. A large, low rumbling, almost indiscernible to the ear, yet can be felt viscerally. In your body. In your bones. In your mind.

Ba-dump.

Encased inside a large, empty room of flesh, sweltering and humid, lies a Vase, made too of cartilage and muscle and eyes, engraved with the faces of the suffering, if one looks hard enough in the cracks. Time is frozen. Each Heartbeat, ten years apart, marks one second each. The Vase cracks a little more with each thunderous pound. But it never, never breaks.

Ba-dump.

A Garden.
A Heart.
A Vase.

Why won't it break?
God help me. I'm sorry.
